The remnants of Hurricane Harvey continued dumping historic levels of rainfall on the Houston area Monday morning.

The team previously said there was no timetable for their return to Houston, which has seen more than 30 inches of rain in a 72-hour span as the storm hovers over southeast Texas.

The Rangers and Astros were just the latest teams to change their travel plans because of the storm, which settled over the Texas coastline Saturday before sending devastating floods pouring into the nation's fourth-largest city. However, no official word has come from Major League Baseball or from the teams.

Among the venues likely under consideration would be Tampa Bay's Tropicana Field, Atlanta's SunTrust Park, St. Louis' Busch Stadium and Miami's Marlins Park.

Texans defensive end J.J. Watt on Sunday donated $100K to the cause himself and started a fundraiser for disaster relief in Houston. Hinch said before Sunday's game. Chicago won both of those games, with Carlos Zambrano throwing a no-hitter in the first one, leaving the Astros furious about the move. The quick takeaway here isn't and won't be that the front office made a measured decision about the welfare of their own team.

The NFL's Houston Texans have already moved their practices to Dallas this week and could relocate their upcoming preseason game there as well. Their game against SC in 2015 was moved because of floods.

Major League Baseball has already moved Astros upcoming series against the Rangers to Florida as the teams were slated to begin a three-game set at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday. Further, if they made that swap, the Rangers would not be home for the final four series of the season, from September 15 on.

Although it would seem more logical for the Astros-Rangers series to simply be played in Arlington, swapping home series presented logistical challenges that apparently couldn't be overcome.
