The Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center remains on lockdown following an active shooter incident Tuesday afternoon. Although law enforcement officials have not confirmed whether the auto was connected to the incident, Rhode Island State Police confirmed to WJAR the SUV belongs to the suspect after authorities contacted them regarding the vehicle's Rhode Island license plates. A code silver is a active shooter.

Local 22 & Local 44 has a crew headed to the scene and will update this story when more information becomes available. Rhode Island State Police said the suspect's auto had Rhode Island plates so police in New Hampshire reached out to the state's Fusion Center, an information center under the command of the state police that also involves representatives from local, state and federal agencies. Soon after, New Hampshire Attorney General's Office Tweeted that there was only one person of interest and that person is now in custody.
