Is Taylor Swift's Lovestruck New Song About Boyfriend Joe Alwyn?

Hear Taylor Swift's New Song 'Call It What You Want'

Baby, just say "yes", Swift sings on "Love Story, ' while the lyrics for "Call It What You Want" read, "Holding my breath/ Slowly I said/ 'You don't need to save me". The popstar has given fans another reason to celebrate with the release of her new song, "Call It What You Want", at midnight on Friday, Nov. 2. (The song's suggestion to "Call It What You Want" could also be used to refer to her dubious relationship with Tom "I 3 TS" Hiddleston).

The response to the first three singles has been fairly, ahem, mixed so far.

The latest single is the fourth song Swifties have heard from the singer's upcoming sixth studio album, Reputation, and details more information about her romance with British actor Joe Alwyn.

"Gorgeous" has fared slightly better - it's sitting at #9 at the time of writing. "Call It What You Want" is a melodic ballad that will have you feeling like you're falling head over heels all over again.

The accompanying lyric video is written in a photo-free scrapbook, but Swift nearly broke her fans with an Instagram story of herself singing an acoustic version of the song, presumably filmed (poorly) by Alwyn.

"Romeo save me... Take me somewhere we can be alone". "My castle crumbled overnight", she opens the song.

"My Baby's fly like a jet stream/ high above the whole scene/ Loves me like I'm brand new so call me what you want, yeah", the Grammy victor belts out. Swift teased the song's release on her social media Thursday with a snippet of the lyrics, sending all of her fans into yet another tailspin.
