Ohio Supreme Court Justice Says He Was 'Sexually Intimate' with 50 Women

A state Supreme Court justice running for OH governor has volunteered candid details of his sexual past on Facebook, saying he was trying to de-legitimize the national "media frenzy" over politicians' sexual indiscretions.

Judge O'Neill noted that as a candidate for governor, his admission would "save my opponents some research time". On his personal Facebook, O'Neill admitted to having sexual relations with about 50 women in the last 50 years. "Justice O'Neill's Facebook comments both dehumanize women and do nothing but trivialize this important conversation, which is actually about harassment and abuse, not encounters between consenting adults", he said. He goes on to refer to a "gorgeous blonde" who was his true love, as well as a "drop dead gorgeous redhead from Cleveland".

Many viewed the post as remarkably tone-deaf in the national debate over sexual misconduct allegations and evidence against a series of powerful men in Hollywood, the media and in politics. He also appeared to show how he felt about the recent onslaught of reports of sexual misconduct against entertainers, executives and politicians by saying he was speaking up for "all heterosexual males" and that he was "sooooo disappointed by this national feeding frenzy about sexual indiscretions decades ago".

"Roy Moore apparently seems to be a challenged individual when it comes to morality", O'Neill told the website.

"As a 15 year jurist, I like to think I speak with clarity".

Candidate Connie Pillich tweeted that while O'Neill has been a friend and donated to her campaign, he "should resign" and she will be "donating his contributions to orgs helping women". And I fully understand the anguish of victims, .

The campaign spokesman for Ohio State Supreme Court Justice and Democratic gubernatorial candidate William O'Neill has resigned over a Facebook post in which his boss wrote about his sexual past. "I AM an OH voter and you will never be governor".

Roughly six hours after his initial post, O'Neill hid or deleted it from his Facebook page. "I have been out of pocket all day, and had no prior knowledge of his statement". O'Neill also said he would not hear new cases but will decide on the ones presented before he announced his candidacy.

"No words can convey my shock", O'Connor wrote. "This gross disrespect for women shakes the public's confidence in the integrity of the judiciary", it concluded.
