Jammu and Kashmir Terrorists attack Army convoy in Qazigund

Two terrorists were killed today in an encounter with security forces at Qazigund in Jammu and Kashmir.

After the attack on army convoy, the army, CRPF and policemen men laid siege around the area and launched combing and search operation to track down the militants responsible for the attack.

Qazigund/Jammu and Kashmir, December 4: An Army jawan was injured in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Qazigund, on Monday. A soldier was injured in the attack.

After the attack, they said the militants tried to escape from the spot but were trapped inside a nearby house. "Great success for security forces", tweeted state police chief Shesh Paul Vaid.

Official sources said that a group of militants opened indiscriminate fire upon army's patrolling party in Bounigam in Qazigund, leaving three soldiers injured.

They said security forces blasted the house in which militants had later hiding after attacking the army convoy on the highway, disrupted traffic for several hours.

Militants opened fire on an Army convoy, which was on its way to Srinagar, at Qazigund, a police official said.

Earlier massive clashes erupted near the gunfight site during which forces used force to disperse the protesters who were trying to disturb the operation against the militants.
