Nintendo Switch Tops 10 Million Units Sold

Holiday Wish Guide Gifts for Nintendo Fans from Budding Gamers to Experienced Players

Earlier this year Nintendo predicted that they would sell 10 million Nintendo Switch consoles by the end of this year, and this morning they announced they've already hit that milestone.

The original Nintendo Wii, launched in 2006, sold more than 100 million units and remains the company's best-selling console to date.

Nintendo is aiming for number one!

Looking over to the Switch game department, the device will gain much more titles to come that will obviously expand its library of games, which will most definitely attract more gamers and fans alike to move more units.

The report claims that United States sales have not yet been disclosed by the company, but it is claimed that at least more than 2.6 million units were sold in the US.

Nintendo employees are focusing on addressing the increasing popularity of Switch by making sure that there are enough tablets to meet the consumers' need.

The Nintendo Switch was unleashed to the masses back in March. You can play it at home on the big screen just like any conventional game console.

Along with the fact it is something new and different, it hasn't hurt having well-received first-party titles such as Super Mario Odyssey, Arms, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

According to an interview with Japanese publication Nikkei (via industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto), Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Mega Man publisher Capcom has desires to port even more games over to Nintendo's new hybrid console, the Switch. And here we are in the midst of said holiday sales and Switches are still flying off of shelves.

If there's one thing we can point to that's likely responsible for the unmitigated success of the Switch, it's the software lineup. "The pace is one of the fastest in our own history and in gaming history".
