Conor McGregor Forget Pacquiao ... I Want an MMA Fight Next!

McGregor was hanging out with his girlfriend Dee Devlin in New York City when he was quizzed about his future and speculations regarding his potential boxing against Pacquiao, TMZ reported. After the bout, McGregor said Mayweather would excel in UFC.

Diaz has been chasing a rubber match ever since McGregor avenged his defeat and that fight is certainly the one that the majority of UFC fans want to see most.

Although McGregor casually claimed that the bout had sold in excess of 6 million pay-per-view buys, Showtime Sports confirmed a final figure of 4.3 million North American purchases for the highest grossing fight of 2017.

Showtime said in their statement that the fight had exceeded 600 million dollars, including global revenues, including ticket sales, sponsorship and worldwide distribution.

UFC President Dana White downplayed those comments and said if they were true he planned to file a lawsuit against the eight-division world champion and his promoters. The boxing superstar's long-term coach Freddie Roach is surprisingly uninterested in seeing his most successful fighter take on the UFC lightweight champion, however.

Meanwhile Philippine boxing hero Pacquiao said last week he too was seeking his own showdown with McGregor, confirming he had opened talks with the Irishman to possibly fight in April. "He's not that great a boxer, and I think we all saw that".

Conor McGregor may finally defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight title in 2018.
