LG Unveils 34 Inch 5K Ultrawide HDR Monitor

LG Unveils Nano IPS Monitor Screen To Be Introduced on CES 2018

CES 2018 is nearly here and LG is set to wow those who are attending by showing off their new line of Nano IPS monitors.

Nano IPS is developed to improved colour accuracy and it is the reverse of what QLED is.

LG is taking a pair of gorgeous monitors to CES, and they're both loaded with goodies.

The Korean giant LG is all set to release its Nano IPS technology sporting 5K UltraWide monitor alongside a 4K monitor. Prosumers will appreciate the HDR 600 certified display, the Thunderbolt 3 docking functionality (with daisy chaining and up to 60W power delivery), the signature Edge-ArcLine Stand, and 4-Side Edge Borderless Design. This LG monitor can display 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, which is the Hollywood standard.

LG says that both panels will also support "HDR 600", but it's not clear if the company is referring to VESA's DisplayHDR 600 spec or its own thing.

LG has announced a 34-inch ultrawide 5K monitor with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, allowing a single-cable connection to a Mac that includes power. This LG monitor can connect to Thunderbolt 3 notebooks like Macbook Pro via a single active Thunderbolt 3 cable - no charging adapter or unsightly USB cables required. Again the Edge-ArcLine Stand, and 4-Side Edge Borderless Design are utilised.

The other monitor is called LG 34EK95U which will come with a 34-inch 5K (5120 x 2160 pixels) resolution with Nano IPS technology.

"Most of us spend hundreds of hours in front of monitors every month and yet it's one of the least likely products to get upgraded when higher productivity is desired".

LG Electronics will launch the next version of its popular monitor series at the CES 2018.

Another attention grabber from LG will be LG's latest QHD gaming monitor (model 34GK950G), which offers premium picture quality with Nano IPS technology and high-speed G-Sync technology.

We will hear and see more about the 34WK95U at CES 2018 in the first week of January.

Expect more details of the above, and we would hope to find out availability dates and pricing, early next year.
