ESPN's Katie Nolan Will Not Be Suspended After Trump Comment

ESPN personality reprimanded for vulgar Trump insult in television interview

ESPN's Katie Nolan has ignited some controversy after comment made on Viceland's late-night comedy show "Desus & Mero" on Thursday night.

"We have looked into the totality of Nolan's comments, they were inappropriate and we have addressed it with her", Jay Jay Nesheim, ESPN's senior director of communications, said in an email to The Post.

Appearing Wednesday night on the almost two-year-old Vice Media channel, Nolan and the comedy duo of Desus Nice and The Kid Mero were discussing hand gestures and memes that could be associated with white supremacists.

ESPN issued revised guidelines on social media and political commentary late previous year.

Katie Nolan could be putting ESPN's new political policy to the test. "That's because he is a f**king stupid person".

Late past year, SportsCenter anchor Jemele Hill was suspended for multiple violations of the network's social media policy after criticizing Trump and referring to him as a white supremacist.

Whether Nolan faces any punishment remains to be seen and ESPN declined comment to Sporting News.

ESPN's new guidelines say employees "should refrain from overt partisanship or endorsement of particular candidates, politicians or political parties" while avoiding "personal attacks and inflammatory rhetoric". Nolan, who has had no problem speaking her mind in the past, made a comment about President Trump that is sure to have some upset.

ESPN apologized for Hill's comments but didn't fire her. Hill was suspended for two weeks in October for violating the network's social media guidelines. His work has been featured on Sports Illustrated,,, and many others.
