Cardi B Reportedly Signs Her First Movie Deal

TMZ reports that the "Bodak Yellow" artist "begins filming in March", but it's now unknown what type of movie she'll be starring in, what role she's agreed to take on, or how much she's getting paid for her silver-screen debut.

Could Cardi B be following in the footsteps of women rappers like Queen Latifah, and forge a successful movie career?

Cardi has previously starred on VH1′s reality series Love & Hip-Hop New York as well as BET's TV drama Being Mary Jane. It also appears she's taking this new step seriously.

The 25-year-old "Bodak Yellow" rapper has inked her very first movie deal, TMZ reports. It doesn't seem like she will have a huge problem making a hit album... she has been making hits all along. It also puts her ahead of Beyonce, who preceded her accomplishment with four hits on the Top 10.

And considering how long Bruno Mars songs be on charts, "Finesse" which should keep Cardi's name buzzing for a while. "Bodak Yellow" is nominated for Best Rap Performance alongside Big Sean's "Bounce Back", JAY-Z's "4:44", Kendrick Lamar's "HUMBLE", and "Bad and Boujee" by Migos f. Lil Uzi Vert. "Motorsport", Cardi B's work with Nicki Minaj and Migos, slid to number four from number three and "Bartier Cardi" climbed up the charts to number seven from number nine.

Cardi addressed the accolades, as well as her Grammy nomination for "Bodak Yellow", on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon late past year. The reality is... this little engine that could simply can do it all.
