Very First 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Heads To Auction Today

Inside there is a unique Bullitt welcome screen

If you haven't already heard, Ford introduced a new Bullitt edition Mustang GT for 2018. Now it's up for sale in Arizona, for one day only.

We still don't know how much the production Bullitt will cost, but it's safe to say VIN number 001 will go for quite a bit more than MSRP. With a few iconic styling cues - including the same Dark Highland Green exterior and black wheels found on the original movie auto - and even more power, the 2019 Bullitt Mustang is special indeed.

One hundred percent of the 2019 Mustang Bullitt auction proceeds will be provided to Boys Republic to help children in desperate need find within themselves the resources and skills to begin meaningful lives on their own. The non-profit school is based in Chino Hills, California.

The muscle auto was donated by Ford and the McQueen estate, and all proceeds of the sale will benefit Boys Republic. Barrett-Jackson has announced that a 2019 Mustang Bullitt will be auctioned off today for charity. Ford also released a teaser video for the GT500 that doesn't show the full vehicle, but does show it spitting flames.

Exterior paint choices are limited to Shadow Black and the classic Dark Highland Green.

Buyers can select two option packages - the Bullitt Electronics Package (navigation, driver's seat memory, blind spot monitoring) and the Recaro performance seats. Estimated top speed is listed at 163 miles per hour (262 kilometers per hour), and all that power comes paired to a six-speed manual transmission.

The last GT500, built during model years 2013 and 2014, had a 5.8-liter supercharged V8 that produced 662 hp and 631 pound-feet of torque, as well as a top speed of 200 miles per hour.
