Documents reveal second person of interest in Las Vegas gun massacre

Broken windows are seen on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino after Paddock sprayed bullets onto the Route 91 Harvest country music festival killing 50 people

Haig told Newsweek that he "used to sell ammunition reloading components" but had not sold any "for a long time", and suggested that perhaps Paddock had one of his old business cards.

"I couldn't detect anything wrong with this guy", he said.

Douglas Haig told Newsweek he was questioned by agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives after the October 1 shooting.

Haig sold Paddock ammunition the month before the October attack that killed 58 people dead and wounded hundreds of others.

Larry Hatfield, a spokesman for the department, declined to comment on whether Mr. Haig was still considered a person of interest or whether he was the person the sheriff said remained under investigation.

A judge on Tuesday unsealed almost 300 pages of search warrant records, including one document that publicly identified for the first time an additional "person of interest" in the October 1 massacre on the Las Vegas Strip.

Records show Haig owns Specialized Military Ammunition, LLC.

"If I had anything that would help further this or shed light or help explain why this wacko did what he did, I'd be more than happy to tell you."

A Las Vegas judge, at the urging of a coalition of news media organizations and over the objection of police, today ordered the release of sealed search warrant materials connected to the investigation of the largest mass shooting in modern USA history. Paddock's physician described him as "odd" in behavior with "little emotion" shown, according to the report.

Broken windows are seen on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino after Paddock sprayed bullets onto the Route 91 Harvest country music festival, killing 50 people.

Las Vegas police officials told CNN on Tuesday the department can not comment on Haig or any names.

The newspaper published the name online. He searched "do police use explosives" on September 15, 2017, as well as "SWAT Las Vegas".

Authorities previously characterized Paddock as a gambler on a losing streak who was obsessed with cleanliness, may have been bipolar and was having difficulties with his live-in girlfriend. His attorney says he continues to cooperate with investigators.

Separately, Judge Timothy Williams ruled that the Clark County coroner should release autopsy records of the shooter and the 58 people killed by gunfire, with victims' names blacked out.

A Nevada judge is being asked to release autopsy records that the coroner in Las Vegas says show the 58 victims of the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history died of gunshot wounds. The coroner and county attorneys didn't immediately say whether they would appeal Williams' ruling to the Nevada Supreme Court. The first is shooter Stephen Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley.
