Mohamed Salah vows to stay at Liverpool

Coutinho celebrates after scoring

The 2017 African Player of the Year, who joined the Premier League side from AS Roma in the summer of 2017, has already been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

And reflecting on his impact at Anfield so far, the Egypt global isn't shocked: 'I don't want to seem arrogant!

His story is all the more remarkable when you consider the fact that Chelsea deemed him surplus to requirements only three years ago.

Salah was a key player during his time at Roma and he had a great role with the club in his last season, scoring 15 goals in 31 league appearances, according to BBC.

Salah has surprised many with his performances for Liverpool so far this season but insists he always backed himself to produce in the PremierLeague despite a largely unsuccessful spell with Chelsea.

In the gallery above, talkSPORT analyses the effect the 25-year-old has had this season - even putting Premier League teams to shame with his goal-scoring prowess. I had two good seasons there.

"Salah is on top form, he is strong and fast I'm sure he will score more goals and break more records in the English Premier League".

Speaking to TalkSport, Carragher explained that he hopes his old club can hold on to their summer arrival for a few years yet, but conceded that when Barca or Real come calling, it is nearly impossible for any team to convince the wanted player to stay. "I knew the history this club has and, as soon as I got the chance, I had to make it happen", Salah told FourFourTwo magazine.

Well, fingers crossed. He's only just arrived so we want to enjoy him for as long as we can.
