Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2018 lasts just a few days

Steam's Lunar New Year sale is supposed to kick off today

Over the last few years, Valve has made it easier than ever for developers to get their games onto Steam. Well, it's time to prepare your wallets once more, as Steam has kicked off its Lunar New Year sale with a slew of game discounts. Some of the globally top selling games at the moment that are now on sale include Grand Theft Auto V, Nioh: Complete Edition, Human: Fall Flat, Slay the Spire, Dark Souls III: Complete Edition, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GotY Edition, ARK: Survival Evolved, Assassin's Creed: Origins, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Rocket League.

If you are holding off on buying any games and saving your cash for the next Steam Sale, then we have good news for you.

Most companies seek to make sales as frictionless as possible and Valve, being no exception, has added a direct purchase option to its wishlist.

We've also heard a lot of requests for the ability to filter your Wishlist by tags or genres to help find games when you're in the mood for a strategy game or an RPG.

It's easier to keep track of Early Access titles now as any game currently in development on the list will reflect whether it's still in Early Access or has transitioned to a full release.

Valve rolled out a new update to Steam's wishlist functionality today, adding a bunch of new ways to advise the UI what you want to see. You won't be allowed to add some games, with multiple versions and purchase options, to the shopping cart and will instead see a button to visit the store page to refine choices further.

You can check out the new features on your Steam wishlist right now. Tags have been added to the wishlist viewer for all games, and the search option now extends to these tags in addition to game titles.
