Amazon: Get Money Back For Whole Foods Purchases

Amazon's latest Prime perk 5% cash back at Whole Foods

Now, it's offering Prime members 5 percent back at Whole Foods when they shop using the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa card, too. The new rewards are in addition to the card's existing rewards for eligible Prime members, which include 5 percent back on Amazon.com purchases; 2 percent back on restaurant, gas station, and drugstore purchases; and 1 percent back on everything else.

Amazon acquired the high-end grocery chain in August and has found numerous ways to bring Amazon convenience to Whole Food shoppers, including installing lockers in stores. Her blog was featured in the book, "Blogging Heroes" (Wiley 2008). That's especially true if you happen to do most or all of your grocery shopping at Whole Foods. The card was not Amazon's first entry into the payments space, though others before it had focused on Amazon.com purchases, and not shopping offline. There's also no cap on rewards and they never expire.

You simply need to use that Prime Rewards Visa and be a Prime subscriber. It nearly immediately made good on those promises with store-wide price cuts, and has offered seasonal discounts on things like Thanksgiving turkeys and Valentine's roses. Amazon also likely saves some money on credit card fees when Whole Foods customers pay with one of its branded cards than with another credit card. People were "crying" and quitting as a result, a report from Business Insider said.

Amazon already offers the same cash back reward to cardholders for purchases from its website.
