'Legends Of Tomorrow' Adds Matt Ryan As Series Regular For Season 4

If 'Legends Of Tomorrow' Is Renewed, A Fan Favorite Will Being Joining The Team

WBTV's release to press didn't expand on any further details, other than John Constantine would be among the main team members on the Waverider.

Matt Ryan, who portrays John Constantine, will be promoted to series regular should DC's Legends of Tomorrow be renewed for a fourth season, EW has learned. After a previous feature film adaptation that may have been a cool movie but a bad translation (Keanu Reeves was horrifically miscast), we finally got a proper on-screen version thanks to actor Matt Ryan's pitch-perfect John Constantine.

After portraying the paranormal detective on NBC' short-lived Constantine series, Matt Ryan made several guest appearances as the DC character on this season of The CW's Legends of Tomorrow. So much so, that the big wigs at Warner Brothers Television have chose to bump up Ryan's role, making him a series regular on the fourth season - which is still waiting on a renewal from The CW.

The show recently lost series regulars Wentworth Miller, Victor Garber, and Franz Drameh this season, and Ryan's new status would help replenish those ranks should the series come back for a fourth cycle.

Based on the characters from DC, DC's Legends of Tomorrow is from Bonanza Productions Inc.in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros.

Whilst there's no guarantee of success in bringing Constantine in on a more regular basis, he's certainly proven to be a fan-favourite character, despite his solo series flopping. His portrayal is an incredibly compelling one, and we can't wait to see more of it. Let's pray for that season 4 renewal!
