Avengers Infinity War: Thanos, Thor Have Screen-Space, Say The Russo Brothers

Zak Penn Avengers

For the unfamiliar, the Russo Brothers (Anthony Russo and Joseph V. "Joe" Russo) among many other shows, directed Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War, along with the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. Unfortunately for him, Infinity War will not exclusively revolve around Thor's first meeting with the Guardians of the Galaxy - but it does boast a scene where Iron Man has a run-in with the Guardians, which appears to be nearly as satisfying.

"Avengers: Infinity War" is definitely going to be the end for some superheroes, and Thor is the latest suspected death. So I think Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time, and I think you'll find that Thor has a really interesting arc in the film. Calling it "one of the great commercial films of the last decade", Russo praised the richness of Black Panther's characters and environment built by director Ryan Coogler.

It all makes sense, as Avengers: Infinity War is shaping up to be a massive film, bringing together the previous MCU movies together in a way that fans have been waiting 10 years for.

Fans are also curious - and anxious - about what's next for RDJ's Iron Man after those scenes in the final trailer. Given it features almost every Marvel superhero introduced since 2008's Iron Man - except maybe Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) - that makes sense.

Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Infinity War writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely revealed that no word came down from on-high when it came to who can and cannot shuffle off their mortal coil in the third Avengers movie.

This is indeed one reason to be concerned about Captain America's fate, although more details will be confirmed in the coming weeks as "Avengers: Infinity War" hits the theaters worldwide on April 27. He added they wanted the story to be unexpected, and hence it's told from the villain's point of view.
