Manager Pardew Leaves Struggling West Brom "By Mutual Consent"

West Brom axe Alan Pardew Baggies confirm caretaker replacement

Journey man Alan Pardew has parted ways with West Brom on mutual consent the club announced Monday with the Premier league side 10 points adrift of safety.

The Englishman was appointed as the replacement for Tony Pulis in November, but was unable to turn around the club's fortunes.

According to the club's management, Coach Darren Moore will take charge of the team on a temporary basis. The Baggies only have six games left in the current campaign to save their season.

"The Club will not be making any further comment at this time".

Pardew's departure is the latest in a tumultuous series of events at the club, with a midseason winter trip to Spain leading to a police investigation after four players allegedly stole a taxi.

McInnes, 46, has turned down both Sunderland and Rangers in the past year but the West Brom gig would be a different proposition. They only earned five points from the final 12 games of the 2016/17 season and suffered seven defeats in their last eight games, drawing the other fixture with Burnley.

"Assistant head coach John Carver will also be leaving", it added. The Polish midfielder is reportedly on wages higher than many in the squad (£110,00-a-week) and brought with him a "PSG attitude".

But the board has now pulled the trigger with relegation to the Championship seeming inevitable following eight successive League defeats.

I think if you look at the stats of one win in 18 then the results haven't been good enough for Pardew, there is no doubt about that.
