Queen jokes on TV# &:039;It Appears Just like President Trump'

Sir David Attenborough joins Her Majesty the Queen in the gardens of Buckingham Palace

As the pair walked around the grounds of Buckingham Palace for about 90 minutes suddenly, Ma'am was reminded of the current US President.

The Queen was interrupted by a loud helicopter while strolling in her garden with Sir David Attenborough previous year.

Queen Elizabeth plants a tree in Northern Ireland.

The Queen's secret passion emerged as she took the naturalist Sir David Attenborough on a "relaxed and funny" tour of the gardens of the Palace, which Treays shot in what she described as "the most magical afternoon of my career". Her son Prince Charles has previously admitted to talking to plants and trees to help them grow, but recently joked that rather than taking the softly-softly approach, "now I instruct them instead".

"Why do they always go round and round when you want to talk?" the Queen says.

Filmmaker Jane Treays said of the programme: "I was aware I was working with the two most consummate professionals on the planet".

The Queen and Sir David Attenbrough are born three weeks apart.

The Queen has poked fun at the noisy aircraft favoured by US President Donald Trump and his predecessor Barack Obama during a documentary celebrating a Commonwealth environmental project. He mixes up the name tags for Andrew and Edward, identifying both as Andrew when he bends down to look.

"It might easily be, yes." she said.

Sir David has since cheerfully admitted: "I couldn't find my glasses".

She also jokes about efforts to "stop children playing conkers" because of "health and safety".

Another amusing moment occurs when the monarch spots a young sapling tree bent over, saying: "That one we won't look at because it doesn't seem to be doing very well".

"Are you sure that's meant to be like that?" she says to someone off camera, adding "Somebody sat on it I think, at the garden party".

The QCC aims to create a network of protected forests in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

So far 40 Commonwealth countries have created a Queen's Canopy, with 13 still to act.

The Queen's Green Planet will be broadcast on UK ITV at 9pm on Monday 16 April to coincide with the beginning of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in London.
