Elected officials file grievance against lawyer over viral rant

Jerk Videotaped Threatening To Call ICE On Two Women Speaking Spanish TO EACH OTHER — Obviously He's A

He threatened to call the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency to deport them, assuming that they were unauthorised immigrants merely because of the language they spoke.

In the video that went viral on Wednesday, Schlossberg complains to a manager at Fresh Kitchen in Manhattan that "the least [the employees] can do" is speak English in America when he "pays for their welfare".

Yes, because no one else speaks Spanish in NY.

"Your staff are speaking Spanish to customers when they should be speaking English", he tells one employee. According to state records, Schlossberg was admitted to the NY state bar in 2003 and has an office in Manhattan.

There have already been some consequences besides online reviews, though: The midtown building where the attorney's office was located evicted him on Thursday. "I pay for their ability to be here".

The video of a racist rant by a NY lawyer that spread widely on the internet this week is a shocking example of the impudence of racists and xenophobes, said Representative Adriano Espaillat, a Democrat from NY.

"Honey, I'm calling ICE!" he says, glowering. "If you intend on running a place in midtown Manhattan, the staff should be speaking English, not Spanish!"

Ms Serrano again accuses the man of being "ignorant", but he then insults her, telling her: "Maybe you shouldn't eat that sandwich today".

I've now received 13 reports of people being targeted & harassed by Attorney Aaron Schlossberg throughout New York City from 2015 until this week.

More news: It will be awful if Neymar joins Real Madrid, says Lionel Messi

The attorney's identity was revealed thanks to some clever crowdsourcing by black rights activist Shaun King, who also unearthed a video from 2016 in which Schlossberg can be seen approaching a stranger on a NY sidewalk and calling him an ugly "foreigner".

Aaron Schlossberg, the New York City attorney who has reportedly been filmed at least three times making bigoted attacks on strangers, is finally facing a bit of justice.

"On the other hand, Schlossberg may claim his conduct is protected by the First Amendment, which if true would prevent discipline", Gillers said in an email to NBC News.

Over the past day, NY has been united in its denunciation of Schlossberg's comments.

I will begin sharing them.

Schlossberg was identified as the perpetrator in the viral restaurant video in a formal complaint filed by two New York Democrats with the state court disciplinary system on Thursday.

More than 2,000 people have flooded his law firm's Yelp page with 1-star reviews.

Aaron Schlossberg, 44, had been leasing office space for his private law practice on Madison Avenue.
