After Roseanne axed, some ask why ABC didn't see racism coming

Former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett suggests President Trump's 'tone' is partly to blame for Roseanne's racist tweet

This last tweet she noticed seems to suggest that the Obama couple may have something to do with the cancelation of Roseanne because she mocked their Netflix deal before. On the same night as her Jarrett tweet, she posted a false claim about Chelsea Clinton that Clinton refuted, and accused George Soros of being a Nazi.

The narrator says, "Until you know how Ambien will affect you, you shouldn't drive in urban areas, operate heavy machinery, or visit a Starbucks".

She tweeted, "guys I did something unforgiveable so do not defend me".

Hours after ABC axed her show for her offensive tweet about former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett - and quickly breaking a promise to stay off Twitter - the comedian was back on the social media platform. They divorced in 1994 after Barr fired him.

"I tend to be pretty forgiving to people who feel they can get a good show out there and keep the star in check, and you usually can, because a lot of stars can be problematic", said Garth Ancier, a veteran television executive who ran entertainment programming at Fox, NBC and the WB networks. "While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication".

Jimmy Kimmel offered words of support for Roseanne Barr following the serious backlash she received after Roseanne was canceled due to her racist tweets.

Spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders says Trump's tweet Wednesday was meant to point out media bias against him. She also apologized to the many writers and actors who are now unemployed thanks to her incivility. The revelation came in a storm of tweets from Barr early Wednesday morning, which included responses to "Roseanne" cast members who tweeted out statements of their own after the cancellation.

But then she deleted her retweet of that post. "I'm not a censor and they have the right to do what they wish. Even though the show was a ratings success, forces within ABC didn't like the fact that her conservative defense of certain things was so popular".

One message she re-tweeted on Wednesday falsely accused the Hungary-born Jewish billionaire of collaborating with the Nazis.

What ABC may miss out on most in Roseanne'sabsence though, are advertising dollars. "I figured someone would take her phone away or monitor her", he said.

- Will there be any measurable backlash from her fans?

- What will Barr do next?

For now, it is not clear what the future of Roseanne is.
