30-Year-old son finally moves out of his parents' house

Man, 30, ordered evicted from parents’ home by New York judge feels ‘great’ to be leaving

The 30-year-old NY man who was evicted from his parents' home by a judge after they took him to court has moved out two and a half hours before his court-ordered deadline.

Michael Rotondo waved to journalists as he loaded his creaky station wagon with his belongings.

Rotondo called the police and once they arrived, found the Legos.

According to local media, he left a couple of hours before a midday deadline set by a judge last week. "I don't have to guess what's behind door number one". He lost custody and unsupervised visitation with the boy in 2017.

"Being from Upstate New York with the same spelling of the name, being the same age and basically, actually very coincidentally, happen to be looking for a place". He failed to persuade the judge to grant him another six months with his parents.

The move caps a brief rush of celebrity for Rotondo, whose parents pleaded with him to move out and get a job and even offered him money to leave. And this time with the aging vehicle that had become a focal point of the roughly half-dozen messages his parents wrote him before going to court. Asked if that marks a dramatic change in his thinking, given his recent hard-fought court battle, Rotondo answered succinctly. His auto, which has a broken coolant system, took a few tries to start.

His parents won the eviction ruling last week after their son ignored repeated requests to get a job and go.

The New York Post reported that Rotondo hasn't been on speaking terms with his parents and has said that he is unlikely to speak to them ever again.

Michael - who hauled dozens of boxes of his junk into a storage facility Wednesday and Thursday - now plans to crash at an Airbnb he booked for about week until he can find something more permanent. After that, he planned on moving in with a distant cousin.

Michael also wants to make it clear - he's a responsible gun owner and there should be no concern about him having a gun while he packs up and moves out.
