Assassin’s Creed Odyssey confirmed by Ubisoft following leak

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey leaks: is this the sequel to Origins?

Unless Ubisoft breaks from tradition and waits until early next year to release it, chances are that we will see Odyssey at E3 2018 this year ahead of a fall 2018 launch.

Of course, rumors have been circulating for a while about Odyssey's existence - however no actual gameplay has been leaked, unlike Origins prior to its announcement.

This setting also means we'll probably see plenty of cameos from ancient playwrights and philosophers, and Ubisoft would be insane if it didn't includes some of Ancient Greece's most famous myths and legends. We've heard the same details from three people who have played the game, and several more who have heard about it secondhand. Here's when all the shows featuring PC games will be streaming live.

More news: Carvajal expected to be fit for Spain at World Cup

Ubisoft's has officially confirmed the name of the next installment of its Assassin's Creed franchise: Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

The Assassin's Creed video game franchise is heading to Ancient Greece. Personally, the high points of the series for me remain Assassin's Creed III and Black Flag, the latter of which brought the delightful possibility of sea-traveling to the series.

The game has had little revealed about it, except the confirmation of its existence and the rumors that it will be a sequel to last year's Assassin's Creed Origins. Not only that, but you'll have a choice of a male or female protagonist. While Origins was a departure from the series' roots, Odyssey will apparently push it even further into RPG territory. Two sources say Odyssey will release during Ubisoft's 2019 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2019. Does this mean that Ubisoft is resuming its annual release schedule?
