Melania Trump will allegedly appear at a White House event on Monday

5 actually plausible theories on where the hell Melania Trump is hiding

Melania Trump did not accompany President Donald Trump to the Camp David retreat this Friday, marking 22 days since the first lady was last seen in public. She is expected to make an appearance at the Congressional Picnic in June.

One news correspondent swore she saw Melania around the White House as recently as Tuesday afternoon.

This all comes just after Mrs. Trump's most high-profile period as First Lady.

She addressed them on Wednesday, tweeting: "I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing".

In addition to the Gold Star families event, the White House is set to hold a Ramadan dinner this week. As the worldwide media couldn't stop speculating about her whereabouts, she took to Twitter to quash rumours about her health and marriage. "Most of us don't even know cursory information about her - I would bet most people don't even know her home country".

"Don't worry folks. Melania is fine", Carrey wrote on Twitter, captioning his painting.

The first lady hasn't been seen publicly since May 10.

The first lady underwent an embolization procedure on Monday, May 14, likely to remove a cyst from her kidney.

She spent a week in the hospital recovering at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. However, Trump is apparently doing well, if her latest tweets are to be believed.

The White House has released little information about her since the operation and Melania herself is under no public obligation to disclose what she has been doing. Has there ever been less scrutiny of a modern First Lady?

The absence of the intensely private first lady has prompted widespread speculation and conspiracy theories. The White House traditionally hosts a big Fourth of July celebration.
