Origin Access Premier service lets subscribers play full PC games before release

grubb [11:24 AM] EA brings cloud gaming and day-one games to its subscription service

The service is launching this summer, and will run you $14.99 per month, or $99.99 per year.

Basically, this more or less seems like EA's version of Xbox Game Pass.

Members will also receive the benefits from the current Origin Access Basic membership that already includes an evolving library of 100+ games, including Battlefield 1, Mad Max and the Batman: Arkham series, as well as newly added titles, including Need For Speed Payback, Inside, This Is The Police, Surge and more.

While Electronic Arts' E3 2018 premise lays with the games themselves, a surprise announcement also came from its EA Play press conference.

The brief moment of the presentation where Origin Access Premier was discussed had the presenters announcing that the new subscription service would bring PC gamers classics like FIFA, Battlefield V, and even the upcoming Anthem. This means you could play through game after game not only ahead of others, but without having to buy it on your own, unless you just wanted a more permanent copy.

Yo dawg, EA heard you like all-you-can-play games subscriptions.

Pre-registration for Origin Access Premier will open today, Electronic Arts says.

Try out new EA games for up to 10 hours, starting five days before release, with Play First Trials.

According to EA, this is a "new tier" of its PC gaming membership where subscribers can play full games such as Battlefield 5, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Madden NFL 19, and Anthem before launch. In India, Origin Access Premier price is Rs. 999 a month and Rs. 6,499 per year.

"You never rule out getting you game in front of players. you want to go where everyone is".
