MAN Faces His Greatest Enemies In New E3 2018 Trailer

Sony PlayStation

Many of these are villains that this version of Spider-Man had put in prison during the eight years he's been active, further emphasizing that this is a highly experienced web-slinger.

Following a mellow live banjo performance that lasted a sleepy six minutes, Sony finally saw fit to dive into their first showing: an extended gameplay trailer for The Last of Us 2.

Most notable from the trailer was the breath-taking set pieces that framed the combat, with a staged, nail-biting battle underneath a shedding blossom tree drenched in a warm sunset light rounding off the trailer from Sony's conference. Which, to be fair, looks impressive as hell. PlayStation's E3 2018 Showcase finally gave us an expanded look at the game, showing details about the gameplay and its unsafe world.

More news: ZTE will reportedly pay over $1 billion to lift USA ban

Sony revealed more of Insomniac's Spider-Man game during its Electronic Entertainment Expo event today in Los Angeles. First announced at E3 two years ago, Sony has been teasing it ever since. But did our intrepid reporter spot the Avengers themselves in-game? It's clear to see that Ghost of Tsushima is really nailing a distinct and cinematic aesthetic, instantly evoking romanticised imagery from classic samurai movies. Just as he's ready to focus on life as Peter, a new villain threatens New York City. Along the way, Spider-Man will have to confront at least five of his greatest foes.

Marvel's Spider-Man is due out worldwide for PlayStation 4 on September 7. Spider-Man can rack up big melee strings, knock enemies in the air and perform web combos, and web up huge chunks of enemies at a time to pin them to the ground. It's available to pre-order right here.
