Stormy Daniels arrested at strip club, lawyer says

Avenatti said in a later tweet that he expects Daniels to be released on bail "shortly" and charged with a misdemeanour for "touching".

Despite her arrest at an OH strip club Wednesday night for allegedly pressing her breasts into the face of an undercover officer and getting handsy with other patrons, Stormy Daniels is still scheduled to perform Sunday night at Allentown's Platinum Plus. As soon as Daniels moved away from the officers, he exited the club and requested the assistance of patrol to arrest Daniels and two others.

Charges made against Stormy Daniels in her early morning arrest on Thursday were dismissed later in the afternoon, according to her lawyer Michael Avenatti.

Avenatti posted on Twitter on Thursday morning that Daniels will plead not guilty to three misdemeanor charges. Daniels, who gained notoriety after suing President Donald Trump following an alleged affair, had faced three misdemeanor counts of illegally touching a patron, court records show. Avenatti tweeted Thursday. "They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this?" He added: "We will fight all bogus charges".

Daniels has claimed she had sex with Trump in 2006, when he was married.

The law, The Community Defense Act, prohibits adult entertainment - defined as nude or topless dancing - between midnight and 6am. Avenatti called the arrest a "complete set up" in an interview with the Associated Press.

OH law prohibits employees who regularly appear "nude or semi-nude on the premises of a sexually oriented business" from being touched by or touching club-goers, unless they are members of the dancer's immediate family.

There's still some confusion about what exactly happened inside the Sirens Gentleman's Club in Columbus, Ohio last night. Are you kidding me? I deeply apologize to my fans in Columbus, ' Daniels said. The document alleges that Daniels "did put both hands on officer's buttocks, both hands on officer's breast, then put her breast in officer's face". The club, Sirens, advertised Daniel's appearance on Twitter ahead of Wednesday night's performance.

The article quoted the Franklin County Sheriff's office as saying in the decade since the law was enacted, it had never had "any complaints or reasons to apply" it.

Earlier this week, Daniels performed in Washington minutes before President Donald Trump announced his Supreme Court nomination.

Cohen paid Daniels $130,000, just days before the 2016 election, in exchange for her silence.
