US ‘addiction to sanctions knows no bounds’ – Iranian foreign minister

Andrew Brunson, who has lived in Turkey for two decades, was swept up in a string of arrests in the wake of a failed military coup against Mr. Erdogan in 2016. "As do all the Americans being held by the Turkish government", he added.

The penalties also bar any USA transactions with the two men.

Top U.S. officials, including President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, have said there is no evidence against Brunson and demanded his release.
