Risk assessment on Yellowstone bison could delay transfer

Video shows man taunting bison at Yellowstone National Park

He turns back toward the bison and begins harassing it again before the beast charges at him for a second time. The bison charges at him twice and misses, and then quickly loses interest. Raymond Reinke, a 55-year-old man from Pendleton, Oregon, has been booked at the Yellowstone Jail and was expected to make a court appearance on Friday, rangers said. During this exchange, Reinke reportedly told rangers he had plans to travel to Glacier National Park next.

"Many people have asked if we've seen the viral video in which an individual is seen hazing a bison in Yellowstone", said the Yellowstone National Park authorities via their Facebook page.

Herbert did not comment on whether the man could be issued a citation.

This footage was captured by Lindsey Jones, who was driving through the American nature spot with her family. The Yellowstone National Park in the USA state of Wyoming has been preserving this animal for a long time, and they keep warning the visitors to stay away and enjoy the sight of this remarkable animals.

Yellowstone officials say the man's actions were "reckless, dangerous, and illegal".

"It is believed that after that traffic stop, Reinke encountered the bison", according to a statement from the U.S. "Always stay at least 100 yards away from bears and wolves, and at least 25 yards away from all other animals, including bison and elk". Glacier rangers took Reinke to Helena, where they met Yellowstone rangers. "People who ignore these rules are risking their lives and threatening the park experience for everyone else".

A short time later, Reinke harassed the bison, rangers suspect.
