Zaha ready hand in transfer request to force Chelsea switch

Mark Kerton PA Wire Chelsea are supposedly keen to sign Zaha

Maurizio Sarri is set to make a decision on whether Chelsea launch a late move to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, reports say. Chelsea are said to be leading the race for Zaha ahead of Tottenham and Everton as the player supposedly likes the sound of a move to West London.

According to the same story, Palace haven't received an offer that has come close to matching their asking price in the 2018 summer transfer window.

The club that have seemingly shown the most interest in Zaha in the past few months is Chelsea, who could be looking to bolster their attacking ranks in the final days of the transfer window.

The Ivory Coast worldwide has attracted interest from Tottenham and Chelsea, with his contract till 2022. He's very much an integral part of Crystal Palace.

Zaha has been in impressive form during pre-season for Crystal Palace following an outstanding 2017-18 English Premier League season in which he directly contributed to 14 goals in 29 games.

The former United player has turned down an improved offer of £125,000 a week deal in a bid to keep him at Selhurst Park.

The Ivory Coast global only penned a five-year contract with Palace last summer, but it has been suggested that the player is keen to secure a transfer to Chelsea.

Chelsea suffered a humbling defeat to Premier League champions Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday and Sarri knows more signings are needed before Thursday's deadline.
